On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Robert F. Kennedy High School Thunderbirds captured the CIF Division 3 State Championship with a commanding 41–25 victory over McClymonds High School of Oakland at Fullerton Stadium. This is a historic first state football title for Delano, and the energy was electric as the Thunderbirds sealed their place in California high school football history.

The Kennedy High School football team has made history — headed to their first-ever CIF State Championship in the Division 3-A Bowl Games!

Your Kennedy Thunderbirds made history and achieved a new milestone by winning the Southern California State Championship Game against Los Angeles Open Division champion Carson High School on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Carson, CA. At this game, Jace Demacablin broke the Kern County record for career rushing yards!
Kennedy is Delano's first ever football team to make state championships. Game to be played at Fullerton Unified School District Stadium against Norther California Champion McClymonds High School.
We are excited for what the Thunderbirds have accomplished this season and are very proud for their dedication and hard work.
